About the Book

Nathan and Sofia have what can only be described as a “complicated” marriage. Torn by tension over their inability to have the baby he’s always wanted, his growing unhappiness is starting to show. Desperate to save her marriage, Sofia hatches a dangerous plan. She recruits her assistant, Naomi, to have a baby for them. But what Sofia doesn’t know will hurt her, in ways she only acknowledges in her darkest, most anxious nightmares.

Nathan’s not-so-secret attraction to Naomi adds a new threat to their marriage. Naomi, skeptical about the whole arrangement, agrees to have the baby, despite her concerns. Her best friend has his own opinions about the situation, and that’s not helping her peace of mind. Naomi still struggles to resolve her doubts about the morality of the arrangement.

Sofia, Nathan, and Naomi have a treacherous path to navigate in the coming months. But will a baby be a new start—or the beginning of the end?

About the Author

Jewel Joseph-Chung (aka Ms Blu) immigrated to America from Trinidad and Tobago with her mother, Nola, when she was twelve. She lived in Brooklyn for sixteen years and now lives in Asheville, North Carolina, with her husband, Sean, Julie, Khalil and Sharif, their twin boys.

Stephanie Donald (aka VirgoVixen) was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised by her mother Norma. She still lives in Brooklyn with her wife, Alex and daughter, Neveah.
