About the Book

Harris, a young Gitxsan man, is the love of Nettie’s life. Will he disappear like her Japanese caretaker, leaving her in the hands of an abusive stepmother? Nettie must find a place to escape to. Her love for Harris spurs her into action.

About the Author

Elizabeth Annette Hawkins was born in the Kispiox Valley and raised on a small farm. For a time she lived in Old Hazelton among the Gitxsan people. They are a people dear to her heart. This is her first novel. She now resides in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia.
