About the Author

Rudy Lopez, currently retired Postal Clerk. Served almost 9 years in US Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. Rudy was born and raised in Colorado and his wife Carol was born in Oregon, but moved with her parents to Colorado as a small child. Rudy and Carol were stationed in New Mexico where all three of their children were born and raised and where Rudy and Carol continue to reside.

"First of all Gods word is the ultimate authority of spiritual truth, not the pope. the fact that the early church deleted the second commandment, thou shall not make graven images of those things in heaven or on earth. Then to make up for the missing commandment, the church then bi-bifurcated the tenth commandment into two separate commandments. That of the sin of covetousness. this is irreconcilable for the scriptures themselves say that they are not to to be added to or subtracted from.
secondly, the doctrine of purgatory is anti christ in its philosophy. the good thief crucified with Yeshua realized that all he had done in his life had led him to his fate of crucifixion. I suppose he had not been baptized Yet he realized
that he had but one prayer left, he asked Yeshua to remember him in his kingdom. Yeshua said to him ""today you will be with me in paradise"". When Yeshua was to give up his spirit he said ""it is finished"" so the doctrine of purgatory is anti gospel and a slap in the face to the finished work of Christ. The book of Hebrews says that God does not dwell in tabernacles made by man but I was taught as a child that Jesus was inside the Tabernacle in the form of transubstantiated bread. That doctrine is diametrically opposed to scripture. Yes a house divided against itself cannot stand, Yeshua said this in response to the Pharisees accusing him of performing miracles by the authority of satan. Clearly this is not to be applied to the body of Christ for our salvation does not hinge on these esoteric constucts but on the fact that we believe that Yeshua died for our sin debt and rose from the dead. Those who believe this has been revealed the truth by the Spirit if God, this is the Rock Christ builds his church on. The Rock of revelation. For Peter could not have declared Christs divinity without the revelation from the Holy Spirit.
