As with the previous two books in this trilogy of “meanderings”, the current collection contains essays about medical practice and the lives of various physicians at different times and places.


About the Author

Michael Nevins is a retired physician who practiced internal medicine-cardiology in northern New Jersey for nearly four decades. Currently he is President of the Medical History Society of New Jersey and writes and lectures frequently on various subjects related to medical history. This his eleventh book is the last of a trilogy of collected essays called “Meanderings in Medical History.” Other recent books included “Jewish Medicine. What It Is and Why It Matters,” “A Tale of Two ‘Villages’: Vineland and Skillman, NJ” and “Abraham Flexner: A Flawed American Icon.” In 2010 Dr. Nevins received the David L. Cowen Award in recognition of his career activities in the field of medical history.
