C.W. and I survived the raging storms that continued to thwart us; tossing, turning, sifting us as wheat for in excess of seven plus years. Spiritual storms, deep emotional storms, personal and relational storms. Storms and tumults of every shape form and color. Storms all around us, all over and under us. Storms; raging against us, pitting us against the very foundation of our union which is faith in a loving, caring God – our Father. Crucibles we did not anticipate, did not expect and did not see anywhere in our future. Challenges we could not imagine and did not imagine came crushing down on us intent to pulverize us into salt. Clearly Satan wanted us to curse God and die. A never ending pursuit for our very souls laid before us that was so devastating to us that angels took note and stood ready to take up the battle at the beckoning of the Father because we were so weak after each battle. We were so spoiled after having enjoyed such a fruitful and blessed beginning in our marriage that we were unprepared.

Janet Perkins, is currently retired and dedicated to being a full time caregiver for her husband and best friend C.W. who recently lost his sight. She has a master's degree in public administration and will complete an Executive Juris Doctorate in 2013. She is an avid truth -seeker who has fallen deeply in love with Christ. She has three children and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
