The twists and turns of life can only be effectively navigated with daily heartfelt, honest conversations with God, the Father – my Abba, my Daddy. For me, great conversations usually happen over a great meal, preferably dinner. But breakfast works too. So today, I take my seat at the Master’s table, actually right next to Jesus just like the disciple John did at the Last Supper. The difference I’ll make in this life will be the result of my daily conversations and obedience to the leading of God, the Father facilitated by God, the Holy Spirit. Jesus, God the Son paid the cost for my seat and prepared the way for this daily interaction. The Holy Spirit then guides me and empowers me to keep the ball rolling despite my often wanting to throw in the towel. I’ll keep my seat next to the One who knows all, orchestrates all, and at the end of the day, whispers in my ear that “you are indeed, my favorite daughter”. Let the church say Amen!

About the Book
Seated at The Master’s Table chronicles Dodd’s life changing journey that abruptly began in New York with the events of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. While the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis she received the year before was significant, it didn’t compare with seeing the World Trade Center Twin Towers melt like candles on a birthday cake. Curiously, Dodd saw it as a decisive moment to begin living life differently.
Dodd tells of her journey toward a more purposeful life. Seated depicts the sometimes tough process of moving toward a more conscious life. To the point of 9/11, her life had been almost mechanical and always based on somebody else’s script. Seated speaks to not only the necessity of each of us writing our own script, but writing that script based on regular consultation with the Master, preferably over a great meal!

Holding degrees from the University of Chicago/Booth Graduate School of Business and the Purdue University School of Engineering, Angela Threlkeld Dodd is now using her skills and abilities in a myriad of creative ways to positively impact the lives and self image of others. Her corporate and entrepreneurial experiences have provided the opportunity to combine her analytic skills with her natural creativity to effectively lead and manage strong collaborative teams. Angela has one daughter, Zoe Elise and lives in Chicago, Illinois.
