About an hour later, I awoke to Cole quietly saying, “Don’t move. Everything’s fine, but be very still and open your eyes slowly.”
Concerned, I paused before opening my eyes. As I began to look around, I saw waves of white butterflies everywhere! It was as though Heaven had opened and poured out a thick quilt of white, blanketing and enveloping me, and covering the entire meadow.
I watched the white butterflies for as long as I could before I finally had to move. As I slowly shifted into a sitting position, the butterflies began to flutter and float away.
For the next few minutes, I quietly sat and watched as the beautiful white butterflies slipped silently out of sight. As I watched them leave, I knew that I had received the answer to my question about whether or not it was okay for me to be outdoors on the Sabbath.
When the last butterfly had drifted away, Cole said, “When I returned from exploring, the entire area was covered in white. I sat on this boulder for at least fifteen minutes before you began to stir, just watching. I’ve never seen anything like this.”

About the Author
Sharon O’Shea, MS, is a native of Southern California now living near Austin, Texas. She earned her BA at Vanguard University and her MS at the University of North Texas. She left employment in Social Services to study female abuse. Sharon’s goal is to create Merry Heart Ministries – a healing and recovery center for abused women. A portion of the proceeds from this book will go toward the fulfillment of that goal.
