My Christmas Gift to You
I wouldn't dare insult you by walking
through a Mall,
to try and find some menaingless object,
wrap it up and a gift, it would then
be called.
There is so much I want to
give you;
not something I can wrap;
it's my love and it's the Wisdom
I've gained along Life's map.
There are no bells or whistles, you
are challenged to install;
this gift is me reaching out to you;
it doesn't seem like much at all.
But here's the thing I want to say;
how proud I am of yuou today,
and today and today.
So allow me time to really hold you;
this world would say, "that's not good enough";
to me, you're more than a healing dose;
you have smoothed the places
that feel far too rough.
Merry Christmas, my precious child;
my hope for you will always be;
that what you want and all you wish for,
God will bless unto thee.

About the Book
From His Lips to My Ears contains a variety of poetry and inspirational writings that I have written over the past several years. The collection includes poems that are very dear to my heart & they range from Spiritual, whimsical, Children’s poems & personal poems written for special people in my life, I like to think that all of my poetry is completely inspired by the Holy Spirit. He inspires me & I write.
About the Author
Pamela Brady, is originally from Queens, New York, where she grew up with her 8 siblings in an Irish catholic environment. Her family, schooling and life experience have been the influence in much of her writings. Her catholic faith has been her support for the hardships endured by her and her family over the years. Pamela now resides in Pleasant Hill, California with her husband of 42 years. The mother of 3 also enjoys writing children’s stories and water-color painting.
