Emma took off her coat and sat down on the old leather couch Étienne had purchased the week before. She pushed herself as far back as she could, spread her arms, and stared at the coffered ceiling, still astonished by the coincidence. Étienne took the opportunity to look at her more carefully. She was slender, about five-feet-eight-inches-tall, and she had long chestnut brown hair that was hanging for the moment on her right shoulder. She was enchanting. Her thin face was nicely structured. Her breasts seemed small and well-shaped. Her waist was tiny. She wore eyeglasses with small, round tortoise-shell rims and a nose bridge shaped like a Gothic pointed arch. She had on a mid-thigh-length little black dress. Her heels were black, but not excessively high. When she crossed her shapely legs he got a fleeting glimpse of red panties. He could only imagine how cute her ass was.

About the Book
Born to a French mother and an American father, Étienne Campbell is a skeptical American reporter who has made his way to Paris like so many others before him — seeking inspiration to write novels.
