A grasp for Life follows Walker through being drafted, losing his girlfriend while in basic Training, Finding a woman who says loves him but never follows him to duty stations until she feels the need for him. Walker's wife is tied to her mother and is always coming between Walker and his wife. a troubling roller coaster ride is waiting for the reader.

A grasp for life is a fictional story of a boy and his siblings taken from their home to live in an orphans home.
It tells of the stuggles as a young man's journey to find the family that he was taken from,only to find life is not as simple as he had imagined it would be.
Born in a poor family, they had their problems of raising four boys and a girl as Life gets away from them when the State is called in and takes the Walker children to an orphans home, then to several foster homes.
It takes you on many mistakes made in the name of finding love as he finds love,loses love,slips in his grasp for life.
The book may resemble many of the readers own lives.

Born concord,New Hampshire. September 28th 1945. He is a disabled veteran.He has three brothers, and a sister. His interests are in the space program, He has written books on each mission, unpublished , poems unpublished, Published one other book "Behind the Chain linked Fence," He is Married, lives at the N.H.veterans home in Tilton,New Hampshire He graduated at Winnesquam Regional High, formally Tilton-Northfield High. Married to the former Mary Tucker of Morgantown, West Virginia. He has one boy from former marriage,42 yrs. old
