I really find social experiments funny, in a sadistic sort of way.  I quite enjoy putting people into awkward positions and seeing how they react, based on learned social graces and their own individual internal reflex reaction. 
So coming up with an idea like I did took extra imagination, guts and secrecy.  We’ve all seen the show ‘What Would You Do?’ on Primetime.  My mind is a little more twisted than that.  It is so interesting to me how we would step in, step up, argue, fight for something and even hurt the ones we love, the ones who we trust the most.  But with strangers we are so afraid of offending, of hurting their feelings, of embarrassing ourselves that it gets in the way of what we have learned since before we can talk. 
Even those gut feelings… the ones that are there to protect our very lives.
The way we have learned to behave, to treat people and to interact with strangers is definitely a learned behaviour from our parents and through school, work, tv, mentors, etc.  It is also unique to where we live.  Even people living in the same city will behave and react in different ways dependant on your neighbourhood as well as your social status. 
So coming up with an idea like I did, well let’s just say Primetime would most definitely NOT be airing my episode, which works for me because even though my legs are quite photogenic, displaying them straight up in the air on national television is not on my ‘to do list’. 
HBO on the other hand… now we’re talking.
