About the Book

A woman who is trapped in the bliss of dementia where her memory is intermittent, she is neglected by her own children and lovingly cared for by a hired attendant from the home health care agency. Although her illness forces her to forget a lot of things, she gives her attendant something that is unforgettable.

A man who is suffering from congestive heart failure has had several surgeries and the doctors have given him little hope of much longer to live. He tries to live doing things he loves to do. After several attempts he finally gets an attendant who he can trust while he takes his much loved swim. Unfortunately something he loves to do is what kills him.

All of the stories are different life like scenarios of every day life in the home health care industry.

About the Author

Born Phylicia “Phyl” Anderson in Houston, Texas to Ceola and Charles Anderson. She has been a member and attendee of Resurrection MCC in Houston, Texas since 2006. She attended public school where she was admitted to the vanguard and I.B. accelerated programs. She graduated with honors from Waltrip H.S. and attended the University of Texas at Austin. She assisted in raising her brother Earl and sister Kelly along with growing up with her first cousins Derrick, Derron and Danyale. She has always wanted to be a writer and still has the first story she wrote from the second grade and the first poem she was ever able to publish from her highschool newspaper.

She continued her life with a career in the health care care industry where she gained unlimited knowledge in assisting the elderly and disabled with Texas Home Health, Girling Health Care in Houston, Texas and New Dimensions Home Health Care Plus in Pasadena, Texas. She is currently a field staff supervisor where she resides.
