Staff Sergeant Perry McMullin joined the United States Marine Corps in December 1961 at Saint louis Mo. He served as a Field Radio Operator, Photo Imagery Intrepreter, Recruiter in Denver Colorado and carried a Military Police MOS as well. He first saw Vietnam as a member of 2/3, FMF Pac in 1964. In 1966 he returned to Saigon for a one year tour of duty with the Combined Intelligence Center Vietnam (CICV) and the Military Assistance Command Vietnam (MACV). After serving on active duty for ten years he went into law enforcement in Colorado. Perry was also an accomplished photographer having taken the photographs that grace his own book. In 2011 he moved to The Republic of Panama where he now writes from his home that overlooks the Pacific Ocean.

Lance Corporal Perry McMullin is a wannabe sniper prepared to help win the war in Vietnam. Navy corpsman John Henry Fox dreams of becoming a military chaplain. Now just out of medical training, he is unsure of his newly imposed warrior status. As fate brings a life saver and a life taker together, they soon become friends—but not without conflict.
McMullin is on the military fast track. Focused on being a career marine, he is promoted to sergeant and trained as a sniper. Fox, never a fan of war, decides to return to college, causing the two unlikely friends to part. After instructing at MCB Quantico and working stateside intelligence, McMullin requests to return to Vietnam. Ensign John Fox has also returned to the battlefield, but this time as a navy chaplain. As a cross and sword reunite during special covert operations and top secret missions, neither has any idea that a parting of ways is in store once again.

About the Author
PERRY MCMULLIN served in Vietnam as a member of 2/3, FMF PAC, the Combined Intelligence Center Vietnam, and the Military Assistance Command Vietnam. During his time as a marine, Perry was decorated with the Joint Service Commendation, Combat Action Ribbon, three awards of the Good Conduct Medal, and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for Cuba. A former law enforcement officer and a professional photographer, he now lives in Panama.
