Dahlia and Amazonness teleported close to the spot where Dahlia had been told the anomalies were committing acts of mischief. Avalon HQ had informed them that the anomalies were both classified under Category A. They looked around and saw that they were in a grassy field. To the north stood a discolored red barn. It didn’t seem menacing to the GOF ladies. They walked toward it, and something burst out the barn, completely destroying the entire wall of the barn.
Dahlia and Amazonness readied themselves and peeled their eyes for what was coming at them. As the smoke cleared, they saw two large figures emerge. One was a morbid gray and the other was a putrid yellow. They were muscular and mutated like two Hydes from the mind of Dr. Jekyll.
Dahlia and Amazonness both knew they were experiments gone wrong. Dahlia asked, “ So you want the ugly one or the dead-looking one?” Amazonness laughed, “I got tall, gray, and ugly.”
They both looked forward. Dahlia rushed the yellow ogre and her comrade rushed the gray one. Dahlia flew at it and tackled him, pushing it into the air. She flew higher ahead of him, and with both hands delivered a fatal blow to it’s face, sending him flying to the ground.
Dahlia flew past him to the ground. As it was about to reach the ground, she did a bicycle kick to its head. As soon as Dahlia’s feet reached the ground, she kicked off it and flew toward the flying ogre. She caught up with the creature and grabbed its neck. Then, she flew upwards, still holding its neck. At twenty feet, she turned upside down and flew straight towards the ground with incredible speed, smashing the cretin’s head in the process.
Amazonness began her assault by jumping in the air and coming down with a heavy punch to her opponent. The gray beast staggered and she landed ten feet away. She ran at the beast again, and this time she used her vines as she jumped. She grabbed a hold of its bulbous mutated shoulders. In the air, she did a front flip and pulled the beast with her. As she went forward, the creature rose in the air. As she did the full rotation, she pulled her vines and smashed it into the ground.
They threw their unconscious opponents together. Then, they reassured each other that they were not harmed. Dahlia put one hand on each of the monsters, and called to Amazonness to grab her shoulder. Amazonness placed her hand on Dahlia’s shoulder, and then they were flying through time and space.
They arrived at Avalon HQ in what felt like twenty seconds, but in reality was only two. Amazonness withdrew her hand and looked around to see armed guards rushing to the port site, which was one of the hangars. They made a formation and aimed all their guns at the knocked out mongoloids.
Their coordinator, General George Denton, appeared behind the last of the soldiers. He had a toothpick in his mouth, like always. He walked over to Dahlia and Amazonness. He gave them a congratulatory salute and trained his eyes over the two hulks.
He turned back to the girls and said, “Nice work ladies. Dahlia, what have we got?”
Dahlia looked at the cretins and said, “Well, I’m pretty sure they were human at one time. They don’t seem to have been born as transmorphopods. The features indicate a strong reaction to something. The reaction caused a mutation. Judging by the stretch marks all over them, I would say the mutation was fast and painful. They came at us strong, very strong. They didn’t stand a chance, but they way they charged, I would say that there was a rage factor in what they reacted to.” Transmorphopods is the term used by the secretive government to describe an anomaly that can transform into other life forms, alter their external body, or other non-humanoid state.
General Denton nodded in agreement. He said to Dahlia, “Excellent. I think these boys here might need you to teleport those things to the lab.”
The two women and the military men parted ways. Dahlia ported the mongrels to the deep underground lab. Amazonness went home to her other life. The scientists in the lab were left to find out where the mutants came from.
