About the Book

A reflection of life, “Haiku and other Poems”, is the first book of poems published by the author. In its entirety the poems touch the imagination and express the feelings of love, hope, peace and joy, longing and nostalgia, even anguish, sorrow and pain.

About the Author

Gem M. Anis, a retired professor and financial advisor, has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Lyceum of the Philippines, Manila, and a master’s degree in International Relations from the Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan. He and his wife, Lita, have four children all living in the City of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada since 1976. Gem loves poetry, travelling, downhill skiing, and tennis.
