About the Book

“A direct textual study of an important sector of St. Thomas is made by H. P. Kainz, ‘Actice and Passive Potency’ in Thomistic Angelology. Angelology both explicates and tests some Thomistic principles and also serves projectively to work out problems on human ideals, value, and social ordering.”

—Cross Currents

“The author first raises the question whether St. Thomas’ treatise on the angels is philosophical rather than theological in its outlook. He offers a number of valuable observations on the sources and scope of Thomistic angelology. The author shows a good grasp of the problems involved.”

—Divus Thomas
