About the Book

After developing an unlikely friendship in a small town in Rhode Island; Annie and Caroline are now busy living separate lives. One day, Caroline receives the painful news that their friend, Charlotte, is fighting for her life. This tragedy reconnects Annie and Caroline as they begin to reminisce about high school, old friends, and how some friendships were formed and broken, as well as how their unique relationship all began.

As tales unfold and situations transpire, Annie and Caroline begin to truly understand how everything in life does happen for a reason, thanks to Charlotte’s experiences and philosophical attitudes about life.

People have come and gone into each of their lives, but some relationships have remained strong, especially for Annie and Charlotte. They quickly recognized their unique and special friendship because they share kindred-spirited bond, leaving a handprint on each other’s heart.

About the Author

Dee Recore is a native Rhode Islander. Her own experiences and journey helped her personally transform her life through self discovery, which in turn lead her to create, believe, and achieve a new career path focusing on helping adolescents. She is currently a Guidance Counselor in Warwick RI. She is a passionate motivational speaker who is educating and working with today’s youth on a program called “Breakin’ Barriers” which focuses on bullying awareness. She earned her master’s degree at the age of 40 from Cambridge College after raising her two grown children, Nicole and Matthew. She is freelance playwright and has been a member of a variety of writing groups and is an active member of two Improvisational troupes in Providence, RI. ‘Handprint on My Heart’ is her debut novel.
