A Quest for the Physical Reality of Time

In the early eighties when I was attending Columbia University as an undergraduate student in New York City, I was rich in spirit. There was a fire burning in my chest, which still is to some extent. I wanted to attain all the knowledge in the world. I wanted to sit down and have a cup of coffee with God and ask him questions about the big bang, about where I came from, and the purpose of my life. I wanted to know how I got here and where I was headed. I wanted to know if there would ever be a scientific possibility for me to live forever – die by accident only. I wanted to know why I was a human being and not a bird or a cat. I wanted to know all the answers to the important questions. I wanted to know everything. That’s how much fire I had in my chest. This fire was burning inside me with a relative infinite-source of energy. Even though I am getting older, I still have this fire burning in me now as I write this book. I want to know why plants are green and why the color green. I want to know space and what is made of. I want to know if time is physical, such as matter, or a figment of our imagination such as the numbers 1, 2, 3. I figured by writing a book I would learn and discover more as I read, think, and dig inside my mind and the minds of other people. I couldn’t wait to learn.
