About the Author

Bobby Kaplan has been coaching elementary, middle, and high school students for over forty years. His teams have played and won numerous championships before Knicks games at Madison Square Garden and before Nets games at the Izod Center. He also owned and directed a basketball academy summer camp in New York State and abroad. Coach K has recently published his second book, “HOOPSTERS ”, which is up for three national children’s book awards. “HOOPSTERS: Episode 1 Don’t be a Bul ly ” ( is the first in a planned series of books to help kids deal with contemporary situations. “HOOPSTERS ” utilizes cartoon-like characters within a sports venue to convey its message.
