In the book of Luke chapter 4 and as early as verse 18, Jesus declared that the Spirit of the Lord was upon Him because God had anointed Him to bring deliverance to the captives, to set those who were bruised into liberty and to open the prison doors. In this scripture He talks about those who are shattered, those who are bruised, those who are held captive by the enemy, and emphasizes that God had anointed Jesus to bring deliverance to people in such bondages. So we see through the scriptures and many of the other evidence of the scriptural points to us, that God has called us to be free. The scripture tells us that “…whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be delivered.” I must add here very early that the word salvation, the Greek word Sōtēriŏn, gives us the concept of deliverance and freedom. It is a total concept and not a concept of just soul salvation. Thank God for soul salvation! As we speak of healing through deliverance and the importance of deliverance in the Christian life experience, we must first emphasize the principle that for one to truly experience deliverance, they must first come to know Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Saviour. It must be understood that a person who comes to that knowledge realizes they are a sinner, are lost and they need God to change their lives and to transform them. Persons need to come to the realization that without God they cannot make it, and so come to a place of repentance. The scripture also tells us very clearly in St. John 1:12 “… as many as received Him, [that is Jesus Christ], to them He gives the power to become the sons of God…” and God ordained for us to walk in liberty and to bring us into so much that Isaiah 60:1 tells us to “Arise, shine for thy light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon us”. Isaiah 61 again speaks so clearly and profoundly that the anointing was upon Jesus Christ when he came to bring salvation.

Apostle Mc Lorren has served as a pastor from 1979 and is presently the Bishop of the St. Lucia District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies, Chairman of the Fellowship of Gospel Preaching Churches in St. Lucia and the Chairman of FAITH (Fighting Against Increasing Threats to Humanity) a non-profit government organisation. He is also a member of the International Coalition of Apostles. Bishop Mc Lorren is also the author of “Then Comes Revival”, “Sound of the Abundance of Rain” and “Thine is the Kingdom”.
