Mr. Mathews narrowed his eyes, and took a step forward. “Do you believe in magic,” said Mr. Mathews “What no, well in a way, what does that have to do with…,” said Mya, “Wait, are you trying to tell me that magic brought the dent out.” Mr. Mathew shook his head. “You’re a crazy librarian,” said Troy, “Help!” Troy tried to open the door, but Mr. Mathews threw his hand forward to the door. A white mist formed around his hand and then shot to the door. The door slammed itself shut. The three of them backed off the door. “Do you believe me now,” said Mr. Mathews. After he realized that he had their attention, he motioned them to sit down, and they did. “What if I told you that you where not just magical beings, but one of the most powerful beings,” said Mr. Mathews. “I’d say you where a crazy librarian,” said Troy. “If you don’t believe me then believe Jeremiah,” said Mr. Mathews. “What is he talking about,” said Mya. Jeremiah had his head down. When he looked up, he didn’t seem like he was sad, but that he was in deep thought. “He is telling the truth,” said Jeremiah. “How do you know that,” said Mya. “My mother, my real mother, died by a demon,” said Jeremiah. “A demon,” said Troy. Mr. Mathews began to speak again, “You three are Guardians,” said Mr. Mathews, “Protectors of the magical world. It is your job to keep the good and bad parts of the magical world balanced. Please believe me. The magical world needs you. You have to take your places. It is your birthright.”
