About the Book

A Letter to My Readers & Listeners Oh, my little ones, Can you count all the stars in the sky? You know, the ones that guard you each night, They shine and twinkle to let you know, they are there for you, Do you think that they are all alike? Or, are they different, as the people on Earth? O, I think they are different, They come in all shapes and sizes, and colors, They twinkle differently too! The language of the stars is always bright and beautiful, It is friendly, and it is all their own, That’s why we wish upon the stars, Yes, they are as different as all the children of the World, But remember, the stars always belong to you, and you, to them This story is about a very special baby star which was born without a twinkle. But, it ended up in the “Heavenly Hall of Fame.” Read the story to find out why.

About the Author

Jeanette Dowdell was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She worked over fifty-one career years in retail and banking. She struggled mightily, at night, to acquire a college degree in 1981. Since retiring she has written over twenty-five hundred poems. Her poems have been included in several publications. Most recently she self-published a book of 135 poems through iUniverse, entitled “Something for Everyone, With Love.” Later this year, she hopes to produce her first multi-media book, entitled “The Hereafter – Our Next Assignment.”
