She held his hand and brought it up to her eyes so that she could see the reflections of the lights in his fingernails and also in his eyes as she looked up to him. They sparkled in the yearning for a dance that they didn’t get to dance tonight. They could still hear the instruments play in the background which brought a smile and a tightening to her cute face.
“May I have this dance Shuah?” She rose the hand that she was clinching to and put her other hand at his hip. They danced just as if they were little doing square dances together in Mrs. Black’s music class in school. Still the light sparkled in her eyes and he grew nervous just as he always did back then. “How is your back. I pray for you everyday you know never knowing if I will get this chance to be here with you tonight. And it has happened these dreams of mine have come to life. Being here with you is more than I could have ever imagined it to be. You are more than enough for me Shuah.”
“My back? I can’t believe you remembered that was so long ago. I am doing fine now I don’t even notice it, I do notice your special touch though and it brings comfort to my soul. I pray for you too you know. You are my one desire even when I can’t dream, even when I can’t see in front of me I envision you standing there to bring me back to us back to what we were and to where we could be. And now here you are and my utmost prayers are that this couldn’t ever end.”
“Who says that it has to?” They continued to dance on the porch platform doing turns much as they did in class. Judah’s smile would brighten as they would get closer and his heart would beat harder. As they spun inner elbow within inner elbow he flashed back to music class in that moment that he treasured most seeing her eyes light up and her face brighten this was a shining moment for him as he remembered it so nervously as he was at the time.
When their arms would part he listened to the song playing intently focusing on the part where they would interlock again. A tear was found on his cheek flowing down to his jaw as she wiped it away with her soft hand.
“In all of my memories you shine the brightest in all of eternity’s past and now I can only think of how you can be in all of my futures.”
“The future has yet to be written Judah, we are in God’s hands now. Love and love alone is what makes your memories shine. If there was love in the beginning it will be there in the end.”
“The beginning, do you remember the trip to the mountain?”
“Of course I do.”
“Nothing shines brighter than that moment when I first saw you. At that point I knew I wanted you to be in my future more than anything I have ever wanted. And here we are at the summit the pinnacle.”
A star was shooting in a spectacle of light as their held hands moved to an embrace with cheeks touching she said, “They won’t be home for an hour if you have ever wanted to see my room. I have pictures of us together.”
“What is keeping us?” Hand in hand they went through the front door as she turned on some lights and went to the right side of the house to her room.
Her heart was fluttering as she got out her picture album and they both sat on her plush soft bed. Through the laughs came tears and tears turned into hugs. The hugs turned into an unbreakable embrace and as they found each other face to beautiful face Judah told a story.
“At church after all was over I would watch you leave and every time I could feel my heart leave with you. When I would go home I would reflect on what our pastor would say mixed with what my parents would teach me and I would lay in my bed at night before I would go to sleep and think. As I was thinking I would always say a prayer for you on my own after my Mom would leave. And I got to thinking about how all of these philosophers would have these theories and ways of life and I created my own. Do you know what it was?”
Their faces grew closer. “No what was it?”
“It was the “And then what theory.” I would use it with anything I did and think what I would do after this and say and then what?”
“And then what, huh? Do you know what I am thinking right now? As we get closer than we ever have. Starring into your eyes. Our lips so close. We’ve been talking so intimately. And then what?”
He then got the courage to do something that he had always dreamed of doing and pressed his lips to hers.
They kissed a kiss so passionately that they saw their futures laid out before them all set together visions of laughter and togetherness and unity forever. They saw their unborn children playing in the fields as they were hand in hand. After their lips took a breath to recall all they had seen Shuah said, “And then what?”
“I am ready if you are?”
“I don’t know.”
“Ionious is such a beautiful planet.” Judah said looking directly into her eyes and seeing her soul.
“We could live there together, what do you say to an eternity with me?”

About the Book
The primary goal of this book is to bring you the bible in a new and exciting way that will strengthen your relationship with Jesus through an entertaining story. It’s Christian Fiction so there are a ton of scriptures in the book with good sermons and songs that should be a blessing to you. It’s Christian Sci Fi so there are some new technologies that are based in the future that are really cool and exciting inventions of mine.The most exciting technology to my knowledge has never been done in Sci Fi and is found at the end of the book it is called a SHIFT being which is an acronym for the description of the new technology. You’ll have to get the book to find out what this technology is.
The story picks up where Civil Refuge, my first book, left off . The introduction should brief you on all that you need to know to make this book fun and exciting. I would, however recommed that you get Civil Refuge and read it first so you will be privy to all of the entire story.
Quest for Peace storyline is about a Civil War that is in effect on the planet Ionious with a great cast of characters in the Ionious Army. It is the North against the South and they need a constant contact with God to get them through all of their everyday battles. The South is in a Quest for Peace and the North is out for blood and control of the element Vionium. There is much comedy in the book on both sides. You will also find suspense drama and intrigue. The characters are faced with situations that only a miracle from God could get them through and it happens alot in the book.
God literally and figuratively shows up in the book as well as Jesus in a triumphant manner you will just have to get the book and find out for yourself of all the amazing things that God does in this book.

My name is Jeremiah Nichols and I am from Monahans Texas and I am a single Dad and have one amazing daughter Katherine Nichols. I am a Christian and primarily write Christian themed books with tons of scriptures from the bible in them. Graduate of Texas A&M I am also a preacher and I aspire to become a pastor of a church in Monahans or wherever the Lord leads me to be.
