About the Book
The beautiful girl watched the old man sleeping, and for the first time in a long while pity washed over her. In fact she couldn't remember the last time she had felt any kind of emotion, for her heart had become hardened so as not to feel the pain that caring could bring. Her remorse was like a broken mirror that couldn't be put back together.
Memories of the last few years working for Flo's escorting service filled her mind, threatening her with another sleepless night, but sleep would come for tomorrow she would be leaving that part of her life behind, going back to being the good girl she was before leaving Kentucky.
About the Author
Writing has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager growing up in rural Kentucky. It was there that set the stage for the places I write about. Most of the stories I write are fiction, but I draw from the way life was for many in those days.
My dream was to move to a large city, and there I would become famous; maybe become an actress; yes, I did like to dream. Too young and with no means to leave, I fulfilled those dreams by writing myself away to another place that was more exciting. Then, as I grew older I found where my roots were, where I had left my heart: the countrysides of Kentucky.
I reside in Bowling Green, Kentucky now, and write full time. I have six books published; four are poetry.
