This is a song with a sweet melody; Smoother, than any jazz can be. Creamy and juicy, all mixed in one. All laid back with a dash of fun. COOKIN’ THE BLUES I go to the store, buy food for you. Bring it home Now you want me to cook it to? There is only one gift I want this year; A gift I will cherish and hold dear. It’s the only gift to make my wish come true. The only Christmas gift I want to unwrap is you. Everything was just as I feared Would be a different world if you had not been here. LOVE SURVIVOR I am standing; standing still. Once my knees were weak, From independent and strong, I became meek. Got pass the attraction stage; Still my heart and soul continues to rage. God put the chemicals in my brain. He chose the man causing me to act insane. As time went by the fury past, The connection and bond seem to last. This is a connection made from God above. I found a friend in the name of love. I am standing; standing still. There is no heartbreak, God cannot heal. True friendship is a responsibility. I refuse to be a casualty. True love is being happy for others happiness. Getting past the trauma and the drama Takes forgiveness. I met the challenged; I survived.

Sherry Wright is the author of “Inspired” and “Somethins’ in My Water”. Wright holds a Masters Degree in Urban Studies with the concentration in Human Resource Planning. She was a commissioned officer in the United States Air force.
Wright states she has been bless to experience several of the many shades and dementions of love.
