Your Kingdom As I sat late last night, Looking up to Thee, You filled my soul with happiness, Your throne I could almost see. And as I saw all the stars, That are so greatly Thine, I know that all Your victories, Are also those of mine. They appeared to form a stairway, That I know will lead to You. They adorn Your beautiful heaven, And all You created too. I use to view them as far out of reach, For I can’t see them in the day. But You made me realize late last night, They are not that far away. You have created a wonderful universe, With lights that please the eye. You made them oh so beautiful, And placed them in the sky. When we talk to each other, As Father and as son, I can hear Your loving voice , Explaining all that You have done. So as we grow closer to Thee, Will you fix in our mind, That we can have here on earth, A heaven so loving and kind? So we want to thank You Lord, For The love You placed within our soul. For it is all so very true, Just as Jesus has told. In this world some day, We shall all harmoniously live. And praises of honor and glory, We shall to Thee so humbly give.

About the Book
Poet J. Michael suddenly found himself all alone in a difficult situation. As a spiritual person, he asked God to touch him in some special way that would bring purpose back to his life. He has found that purpose in writing poetry.
As he wrote poem after poem, he began to realize that he was telling a story of his life in poems. The prayer poems are similar to his own prayers, and there are poems that reflect his life experiences. The devotional poems focus on topics that he studied or taught in the past. His verses recall military service, work, travel, service to God, and other mundane and extraordinary experiences throughout his life.
My True and Living God
Father I know that You come to us daily,
In all the things we see.
For all things You created,
We are forever grateful to Thee.
To watch the sun rise,
That gloriously adorns the day,
It is so beautiful to see,
Every inch of the way …
About the Author
J. MICHAEL worked in the nuclear power industry for over thirty years. He has served as a missionary and was also a licensed minister. He has returned to live in his hometown in North Carolina to be with family and friends, after leaving over forty years ago.
