About the Book
A collection of fun to read and thoughtful sci-fi and fantasy related poetry. Read about knights and unicorns as well as robots and planets. Poems to inspire, amuse and make connections to the emotions that drive us to aspire to more than the everyday. Highly detailed art work adds to the reading experience with the idea of which was created first the art or the poetry. This book is an excellent addition to the poetry collector’s library or a fun way to introduce preteens to poetry.
About the Author
While in college a few years ago I was given the assignment to write a single poem. I received good reviews for this single poem and after the English teacher talked to me one on one about the poem which is included in the book, she suggested I take the time to explore poetry and possibly writing more. Later I submitted work to the college periodical and was published several times with both my poetry and artwork. Over the years I have wrote more and more as well as pursuing an art career. I was published in the National Poetry of The Year book and have made runner up on several occasions through the L.Ron Hubbard’s Illustrators of the Future and have considered submitting written work as well.
I enjoy creating and would like to share some of these creations of mine. I write almost as often as I draw or paint and rarely do I throw anything away even if it is what I would consider a failed piece. Later I can return to the ‘failed’ work and rework it into something I find acceptable. I draw inspiration from what I love; the people I’ve known for years, my cats, my fascination with robotics, and nature as well as old and new sci-fi of any media. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my husband Earl who has a passion for photography and our two cats; an orange Manx mix and a blonde domestic short hair.
