Dawn of Ebony

Ariana left the house at around ten fifteen in the morning to go work at Lucy’s Delights. Seth walked her before heading for his job at Fantasyland. She put on her apron before she began to set the tables in the parlor. By noon the place was full with heated customers seeking refuge from the summer sun. She took the orders of about three tables before she reached the last one she’d take before turning them in at the counter. An odd feeling crept over her as she took in the features of the man when she took down his order. He sat alone with a maleficent dark look in his face. He looked to be around twenty-five. Long liquid black hair cascaded off to his shoulders. A strange warm scent emitted from his floor length ebony coat. He was something to look at, and sexy was one word she could easily think of. His dark misty eyes intrigued her the most, they looked as black as night yet they shone with a mysterious light of their own. She felt she’d seen them again somewhere before . His dark eyes burned into her as she awaited his order. “I am Stefan Crow,” he told her boldly. His poise was that of supremacy, of power and his voice rang with it. She felt uneasy greeting customers by name, especially him. It felt unethical, but she feared to get fired. As a precaution she tried to conceal her identity. “Leonor,” she blurted her middle name. “What would you like to order?” “You,” the man chuckled with a cocky smile. “For starters.” “Excuse me?” she exclaimed. “I have a great feeling about you Ariana. I think you might be the one.” He eyed her as if she were a rare precious prize in front of him; with great awe and reverence. She stood completely freaked out as he called her by a name she hadn’t given him. Goosebumps rose on her arms that she couldn’t hide. Every part of her screamed danger, yet another wanted to stay there beside him to have his eyes watch her. He could smell her fear, taste it dancing on his vile tongue. She whom he’d been waiting for had finally arrived into his blank life. Stefan Crow’s time to raise his Court in above the Dawns had finally come. “Don’t be afraid my beloved,” he sang hypnotically. "I am not here to hurt you."
