Imagine yourself hearing a little voice inside your head, not knowing if you’re going crazy or if you’re hearing the voice of God? Imagine yourself being called a sissy, fag, or a dummy by your own family? Imagine yourself trying to commit suicide and you can’t. Every time you attempt it you don’t succeed. Imagine yourself wanting to know if you are gay or straight, and you were afraid to tell anyone of your doubts? Imagine having low self-esteem. You feel like you’re worthless and never going to amount to anything, or you’re going to be in jail or dead. Well, that’s what I went through all my life. I was trapped and tormented by the enemy for so long! I would visualize myself free and out of bondage, but I never knew how to cross the line to freedom. I would often ask God, “Is this a story you want me to tell or help other individuals come out of?” I am reminded of the scripture: “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)

About the Book
“Victimized with a Testimony” is not a book that’s going to tell you about a life story – It is a life lesson. Hoping to reach and connect with young people going through “Stuff”, It’s a testimony of what a young person has overcome, and it is a lesson for all people who faith is bottled up and screaming to explode, to learn to rejoice in their goodness yes, Joy does come in the morning, and Trenton’s life lesson will give you hope.
About the Author
Trenton Bowens was born in Columbia, Missouri on August 12, 1988. Trenton has four brothers and sisters and has lived in New-York, Iowa, Missouri, and Michigan. Trenton graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 2007.Trenton was blessed and fortunate to serve on many community service boards and organizations He was the Founder and Director of Benton Harbor Youth-in-Government which was the 1st and only organization oriented for and operated by youth in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Under his leadership the organization was also the first to host debates, Youth Elections and many other events. The program was later named Project Cool by the Neighborhood Association of Michigan. Trenton helped shape the role of young people in the city of Benton Harbor making it clear that there is no limit to what youth can do. Trenton received the Martin Luther King Youth Humanitarian Award in 2005 for his hard work and determination while working with the city of Benton Harbor.
