About the Book
Scott C. Barcomb’s stunning first novel, Black Rock, is an adrenaline-infused, nonstop page-turner. From the first chapter of this electrifying story, we are plunged into the moment of what grows into a ghoulish rampage of murder. A sophisticated sociopath targets seemingly random women, ending their young lives with a common ice pick. It is the macabre mutilating signature the killer leaves behind, however, that has FBI agent, Steve Wallace, unhinged. With each new development in the case, Steve finds himself not only confronting the horrors of the most gruesome crime spree in the history of New England, but his own tortured past as well. When shocking clues lead Steve to suspect the unimaginable, he begins to question his own sanity…and guilt. Now in a desperate race against time, Steve must put an end to the killings, even if it means making the ultimate sacrifice. From first to last, Black Rock holds us breathless with its masterful storytelling, its memorable characters, its unexpected and clever twists, and it’s surprising and shocking climax. Here is a fantastic read of a first-time author who has already been compared to Thomas Harris and James Patterson.
