Seeking the Edge seeks to provide the tools and techniques to find that edge in your life. Whether it is an education, a new career, family, or even hobbies, we must shoot for the stars!

The life lessons of author Joseph Rose, the “storytelling professor,” offer tips and lessons on building character, seeking opportunities, being prepared, and learning from past experiences. About the Author

Joseph L. Rose is a Professor in the Engineering Science and Mechanics Department at the Pennsylvania State University. While he has accomplished a great deal in the engineering world, he has a reputation in the university as the story-telling professor who loves to share life lessons with his students. Throughout his life he has gathered together a collection of stories and life experiences that provide inspirational lessons from growing up in an Italian home, working closely with graduate students, traveling the world, raising his five children and fifteen grandchildren, and constantly “seeking the edge” in his life.
