Dear Julian, These letters are my gift to you. I will fill them with the love you inspire in me and with my dreams for your future. I will tell you about the most important events of my life and about the people who have touched me with their love. I hope that you will come to know me through my words. Being your grandmother has been one of the best things in my life. The most sublime moment was when I saw you come into this world. Holding you in my arms for the first time moved me so intensely that it’s difficult to explain what I felt.

About the Book
I wrote these letters for my grandsons, pouring everything I feel for them into words. I hope they will keep them as lovingly as I wrote them.
About the Author
About the Author Irene Maceira Herrera was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. She came to the United States in 1972, and in the year 2000 discovered that breast cancer had left her with only four months to live. That same year her first grandson, Julian, was born. Her second grandchild, Enzo, was born in 2002. She credits the love of these two wonderful boys with saving her life. Through prayer, love, several treatment efforts and a healthful diet, she survived a terminal illness. She learned that life-changing diet—and several other things for which she’s grateful—during her nearly two decades as a licensed massage and colon therapist at Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida.
