About the Book

The Fourth Finger narrates the story of Ahdia a beautiful young woman that seems to have been able to accomplish all life has to offer except a successful love relationship. Love seems to hate her, and eludes her every time she thinks she has finally found the perfect man. She hopelessly and tirelessly goes through heartbreaking relationships leaving her to doubt her own ability to love and be loved. To compound her problems, she is from a conservative Islamic African background that views marriage and child rearing as a necessity/obligation for every woman. She represents a clash of cultures and is ultimately torn in between accepting her African or Western cultural belief systems pertaining to gender, marriage, love, and divorce
