More Than Conquerors

AND MY SOUL CRIED OUT In all of my almost fifty years of living I have often found myself in conversations, Bible studies or just listening to individuals tell or even testify of situations or circumstances that they are presently attempting to overcome. As a minister I have found that the situations, although often different seem to have similar solutions which are based on Bible principles and Bible concepts. It is the purpose of this book to provide a set of ground rules or tactics that one can use to protect oneself from the unconstructive consequences of our potentially negative economic environment and our sometimes challenging work environments. My goal is also to provide moral support and spiritual support to those that believe that they are struggling against seen and unseen opposition while trying to reach their full potential. It is also amazing to me how often individuals that are struggling think that they are the only ones who have ever faced opposition to their God given vision, mission, passion or calling. It is important to me that I attempt to pass down some common sense and practical tools for accomplishing goals, vision, callings and passions. These concepts have taken me well over forty years to understand and apply even in my own life. My name is Thomas Wood and I would like to begin this discussion by telling you a bit about myself. I was raised on a small farm in a little town named Reelsville, Indiana. While riding horses with my brother we would often hear the sound of military jet aircraft flying over our heads at very high rates of speed. I now know that the aircraft were F-4 Phantoms and have been told that these aircraft were probably completing oil consumption runs. The author would often point to these aircraft flying over his head and proudly proclaim to all that could hear, “one day I will work on airplanes.” I then began the process of learning all that I could about aircraft of all types. No one else in my family had ever worked in the aviation industry. Friends and family were all amazed that I had chosen this particular career path. At some point in time others made it a point to inform me that minorities do not work in the aviation business. Do not ever let negative people convince you that you are not capable of succeeding at any goal that God has placed in your heart.
