This book is not about the conventional way of setting goals. This method
of setting goals that has been around for several decades, and has been used by
many people instructs you to choose a goal and break it down into smaller ones.
It explains that your goals must be realistic, measureable, timely.

10% of the population have written goals, and within this small percentage is a
still smaller percentage of people who actually take action and follow through
with their goals? Why is it that many people give up after only a few weeks of

method of setting goals centres around using your Conscious mind, your outside

MY REASON FOR WRITING THIS BOOK
I felt compelled to write this book because of my sincere desire to share with
you all the proven, simple techniques I have discovered in setting and
achieving goals. The secrets you’ve been waiting for are now revealed for the
very first time. I have endeavoured to explain how easy it is to achieve anything
you want, with less effort than the traditional method. Written in simple
easy-to-understand language this book
is a User’s Guide to your own mind.
My story begins more than 25 years ago. Widowed at 43 years of age I found
myself wondering who I was and what direction I should take at that point in my
life. I was working full-time in a management position in the corporate business
world. I decided to further my education and use this as an anchor. (Everyone
needs an anchor in order to stay focused when faced with a major
challenge.)
I began a business program attending university two nights a week. At the
end of five years I had achieved my goal, receiving my certificate in business
administration. The realization then came to me that in order to reach a goal,
especially a big goal was the fact that Goal Setting must become a Way of Life.
Over the years I have attended every seminar possible, used my car as a
university on wheels by playing motivational tapes, and I have read countless
books on positive thinking and goal-setting. People have asked me many times
how I’ve been able to achieve all my goals and to have accomplished so much.
The amazing thing is you can do it too! All you have to do is use the most
powerful tool you have, your remarkable Subconscious mind. It did not come
with an instruction book so a little more than a year ago I decided to write such a
book that would help you achieve all your dreams, all your goals.
I am still working full-time in a new career. (I like to change careers about
every ten years or so.) One day I sat down and wondered how I could ever
find the time to write such a book. Here is what I did: Every morning I would
arrive at 5:30 a.m. at a local McDonald’s restaurant. While there I would write
for an hour and a half before starting my work day at 7:30 a.m. On the week-ends
I would follow the early morning routine and would add a few more hours. After
about fourteen months of this steady routine this book has surfaced.
UNIQUE CONCEPT OF THIS BOOK
Miss WYTIWYG (What You Think Is What You Get) is a magical character
that I created who lives in “The Land of Everything’s Possible”. You too can live
in “The Land of Everything’s Possible”, and through your thoughts you can
create anything you want in this wonderful land. Having the right thoughts is the
starting point of all achievement.
Miss WYTIWYG has been chosen to appear throughout this book because she
mirrors the personality of the fox – the fox is a thinker, not in the sense of a
human mind but nevertheless, a thinker in animal instincts.
The fox symbolizes many of the qualities that humans possess, those being
quick-thinking, adaptability, skillfulness, keenness of vision, strength and
wisdom.
It is my hope and deepest desire that after you have finished reading this book
you will be inspired to ensure that the right thoughts are created by you , and your
goals will be set and pursued with the same vigour and enthusiasm as those of the fox that purposefully
goes about her life in the everyday world she lives in.
