He was so beautiful. The moon was full and glistened off his chest. The hair on his head and arms was jet black. The closer he got to her, the more human his movements became. The hair on his face and the back of his hands was disappearing. His arms remained full but human now. The hair on his torso was the last to fade but also remained full. By the time he reached the deck, she had started to descend the stairs. He was skyclad, naked, but so was she. Just then an huge eagle flew in from a nearby tree and perched on the side of the deck. By the time they met at the foot of the stairs the bear had become a full man. They embraced. Tatiana looked up at him “Watcher, I am so glad to see you, it has been far too long. He kissed her long and hard. His chest was like steel. His smell was musky but sweet at the same time. He bent to take her into his arms. Their mouths never left each other. He carried her up the stairs and into the house. The eagle sat on the deck wall, watching. This all seemed so natural. She could smell him, feel him, see him. This wasn't a dream yet she knew it was all at the same time. He carried her into the bedroom and proceeded to gently ravage her. She couldn't be dreaming this. She could feel every touch. She moved with him in a rhythm of love and trust. It went on forever, neither of them tiring of each other. “Watcher, where have you been for so long?” she said.

Connie Whiteley has been a creative writer all her life. She has written short stories, training materials, poetry and stories for children. She lives in beautiful rural Arkansas, where she enjoys spending time with her family and her horses. This is her first book.
