About the Book

This is a book of poetry that is written to touch your heart and soul. These poems were written to give you hope, insight and to view dreams sharing apart my road map of life. Taking you through a journey from girl to woman. Offering a rare opportunity to allow others an intimate look at the writer transcending into her own light. Allowing oneself to love her imperfections and recapturing life through travel and many loves. A unique perspective on the black Diaspora as well as universal appeal. These poems will make you feel joy, passion, victory and the celebration of an artist final summit.

About the Author

I provide the story of a young girl who has the ability to move through time as well as space. As her mind wonders she creates poems when the poem is finished she meticulously begins to live in the time of the poem while staring out of a subway car window she composes a poem about Cleopatra Queen of the Nile and presto chango she is on the royal barge the amazing thing is that she now sees the world in detail, colors, smells and the sound of time and place for which she has escaped to through verse and poem. My work will appeal to a dual audience obviously this work will be of interest to a literate black female audience also the nature of this work will make it attractive to a cross over wide audience who would have interest and understanding the black psychosexual experience. This book of poetry and prose is based upon my personal experience, observing and my critique of worldwide news worthy subjects. For my information I have used primarily the internet. My works spanning the globe through technology thusly my opinions were formed over the past twenty five years consequently I have a reader base that knows no internet boundaries. I’m in contact with the black Diaspora on a daily basis. My credentials stem from works published in school, church and magazine publications along several awards for my chronicles on personal experiences through poetry. The written word has inspired a full portfolio of plays, short stories and poetry. My passion for literature was spawn almost twenty six years ago from my reading of the Bible’s Song of Solomon planted a seed for the written word. My jubilation over this project is beyond words the chance to participate and explore options is my greatest joy.
