Dreams and Broken Dreams

A BABY A baby came to our house. And she was oh, so sweet. Her eyes as blue as the sky above And such tiny, chubby feet. Her cheeks are like roses and she isn’t very tall, But be careful when your holding her and do not let her fall. Now babies are different sizes, and they come indifferent styles But this one really steals your heart when she looks at you and smiles. Nanny loves her very much, and so does Mom and Dad And Paulette thinks she’s very sweet even when she’s bad. But to Pap she’s something special and he thinks she knows it too, For every time she sees him she’ll throw her arms and coo. But one day she’ll grow up, with all this in the past. For once a baby starts growing; they seem to grow up fast. All this will be forgotten, except in memory, And life will start all over again, I guess as it should be.
