About the Author

Patrick Corbiere was raised in the San Francisco Bay area, where he attended seminary school, college, and the California and National Fire Academies. He served for twenty-nine years in the fire service, mostly as a captain, and participated in the Oakland Hills Firestorm. Now retired, he lives in the Pacific Northwest.
