I watch the fallen leaves fly up behind the car through the rearview mirror, noticing the naked trees that line the driveway as they continue to reach toward the sky. I feel as though that nakedness was not to shame them but show the world that even when you strip me of all that adorns my body I will still reach for the heavens. I hear their unspoken statement, “fall is upon us and though the tough winter is approaching I unlike my leaves will not fall.” The thought of having the strength to continue to stand year after year through harsh weather without anything to clothe your self and continue to grow when there are no nutrients being given and continue to reach for the sky, made me think of all that has happen to me. My exterior had fallen to the ground and left me exposed and in my nakedness, I had nothing to hide, nothing to run from, but everything to run to. The life I once lived is blowing behind me only to be seen in the rearview of my mind. What I am approaching is a season of bloom a time of rebirth. In my nakedness, my errors seem to correct themselves. I guess now I can understand why my uncle became the man he became. The fast life moves faster than we can perceive or even think. Therefore, the revelation of life comes like a train on a one-way track. Moreover, you are finally forced to decide either jump on or stand and let it run me down. I chose to jump on board this train.

Jon Cro finds himself caught in the middle of a highstakes game of seize and conquor, as his daughter Angel fights to free her father from the grips of his own past actions. Angel has a plan and nothing is going to stop her from carrying it out. Redemtion and reconstruction of the values and people of the town of Lawton, a city where no one could escape being extorted or manipulated or even killed by Willie Turner, the self proclaimed king of the city. Willie has a plan of his own and has done all he feels he needs to do to secure the city for himself. Needed by both sides Jon Cro must find a medium in this ordeal that he has no control of. That is if he intends to do it and stay alive.
A Father's Advocate is a thrilling story of the love a daughter has for her father and the devotion she has for the dream he gave birth to. In a time when people have lost themselves in the world of having it all, we find the citizens of Lawton realize that having it all comes with the loss of somthing precious. A father's advocate gives insight into the real problems of the inner city and the people that mean well but show different.
Reading A Father's Advocate gives the reader a higher sense of value in his or her place in their city. The reader should find themselves in characters throughout the novel. The basic beleif that it takes a town to raise a child is brought to life in this urban thriller. The reader should beware that this is a read that will spark consious awareness, and promt action.
About the Author
The belief that everybody has a story to tell is what prompted Jon Javere, a blue collar factory worker, to begin writing A Father's Advocate. Writing has been a passion and most times a remedy to some of the ills life has given him throughout his life. His ability to look at life and transform what is seen into something worth fantasizing of has been the strength of his first literary work. He believes one, should by any means tell, the stories of their life. He chose nonfiction because of the creative license it gives him to stretch reality in order to give a better vision of his complex thoughts of the world and life. He enjoys a blue collar life in Marietta Ga. along with his beautiful wife and children. For him this has been an adventure he longs to experience again.
