About the Author

Sam Goldstein was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He is a graduate of Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute, Montclair State College and the University of Utah where he obtained a Doctorate in Psychology. Dr. Goldstein is currently Assistant Clinical Professor at George Mason University. He is Clinical Director of the Neurology, Learning and Behavior Center, providing neuropsychological evaluation, case management and treatment for individuals throughout the life span. Dr. Goldstein is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Attention Disorders and co-Editor-in-Chief of the Encyclopedia of Child development and Behavior. He has authored thirty books, dozens of book chapters and peer reviewed research articles. Also, Dr. Goldstein has produced a number of non-broadcast film projects as well as the award winning documentary, Tough Times/Resilient Kids.
