About the Book

It is the story of a farm family settling in Wisconsin in the early 1850. It mainly follows one grandson who lost his mother early but wen on to become a teahcer and the wonderful girl he married. Through all the tribulation and heartache of life they never forgot their heavenly father.

About the Author

The book is faith based.

I am the daughter and wife of a Wisconsin dairy farmer. My husband died young leaving me four children to raise alone. My mother tole me that money, the possessions you owned, the position you held in life, or personality were not the amatuer. The only power you have on earth is the good you do to others. She read her bible every morning of her life, reading aloud to us at the breakfast table. I did not realize how much the bible wisdom would mean to me until life got hard. I learned that to be blesses you must bless others. It is not the getting but in the giving you receive.
