About the Author

The training and subsequent two tours of Vietnam as a member of the Infantry Corps of the Australian army is reflected in the pages of "In This Man's Army. In reading this book you will be taken along on the same journey as me to experience the sights, smells and experiences of the day to day life as an Australian soldier serving in that theatre of war. My early childhood was spent in the North Eastern Victorian township of Yackandandah in South Eastern Australia.Country life provided me with a very early opportunity to shoot game, trap and go ferreting for rabbits, fish in the nearby streams and a host of other rough and tumble activities that made transition into army life quite easy.
