Seasons of the Soul is a compelling collection of poetry that gives the reader vivid images of the roller coaster ride of living with a mental illness. Seasons of the Soul is a testament that gives hope to those diagnosed with a mental illness, that miracles can happen.

About the Author

At the young age of 21, Steven Joseph Brown, born February 1969 in Toronto, Ontario, was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Overcoming the trials and tribulations that come from this illness, Steven, a well read individual, was able to write poetry that expressed his life experiences. He lived through the dark, surviving many different brushes with death to appreciate the light sides of life, nature, spirituality and having true friends. Steven presently lives in Oshawa, Ontario and continues to write poetry as his way to communicate with the world. Steven was inspired by great poets like Robert Priest, Jim Carroll, James Douglas Morrison and Leonard Cohen
