When Charkey Johnson finally gets bored with life in Mexico, he no longer finds satisfaction in being the richest man in the world. He decides to risk returning to the States, bringing with him most all of the security which he has enjoyed in Mexico. The assassination of his wife finally forces him to retaliate against the assassins. He is forced to stand trial for murder for the death of those responsible for the death of his wife. To relieve himself of the boredom of life alone, Charley becomes interested in multiple births, and decides to create his own basketball team. He travels all the way to Russia to find a woman tall enough to produce sons whose height will make them the greatest basketball team ever. His daughter by his second wife is the victim of a kidnapping, and her rescue from the kidnappers sets up the final chapter of the saga.
