Prologue As soon as she stepped out of her all black on black Escalade, reporters from every channel were in her face. You would think she was the one on trail, instead of her significant other. Legend entered the Franklin County Courthouse looking very confident. Today her fiancé was going on trail for murder. Not just any murder, but her very own best friend. Legend’s emotions were all over the place. The media accused him of everything from money laundry to murder and painted a terrifying picture as if he was a danger to society. “Legend, how do you feel with your fiancé facing life in jail if he’s convicted of all charges?” The reporter asked. “Get that damn camera out my face.” Stepping into the court room the foreman read “We the Jury find the defendant Tyrone Mason, guilty on count one drug possession; count two, guilty of possession of illegal firearms. Count three, murder in the first degree not guilty. The courtroom erupted with hand claps and some obscenities. Legend placed her designer shades on her face and strolled out the courtroom with a smile on her face, knowing that this was just the beginning, she was determined to find out who murdered her childhood friend, Jackie and tried to frame her man.

About the Book
Legend Ingradi has one foot in the streets and one half way in the church. In the Beginning takes you into the heart and life of a twenty-six year old Psychologist who has always been attracted to drug dealing men, and her three best friends as well. But Legend has a new burning passion for the Lord and can’t seem to shake her old ways. Unbeknown to her, light is about to meet darkness and all hell is about to break loose. From deceit, lies, lust and the murder of her very own best friend, Legend is forced to make up her mind if she wants to pursue the path of righteousness or continue her worldly ways.
About the Author
Kacey Reese is a Licensed Chemical Dependent Counselor. She is currently seeking her Psychology degree at a private university. Kacey likes to read, write poetry and travel. In the Beginning, is her first published novel. Her next two projects, will serve as the finishing novels to the trilogy. She is presently working on her next fantasy, a play titled Empty Words.
