About the Book
Four years can make a difference in anyone’s life. For Lyla Barnett, college is more than exam papers and spring break. It’s 2004. Kids are still getting camera film developed from the drug store. There’s no such thing as tagging pictures online. Behind the picturesque brick walls, Lyla muses over taking risks. Every relationship she gets into seems dead-ended from the beginning. Her world is like a post-high school Molly Ringwald movie. A world of boys, friends, music, and angst. Will she ever let herself be happy? After all, happiness is a double-edged sword.
