Santa Claus

The puny baby reindeer looked pretty weak sleeping in the cage, but it also had a tough and strong feeling that Nick sensed when looking at it. The troll had treated it horribly wrong, and when Nick approached the cage, the reindeer only lifted its head a bit. It was as if it neither had the strength nor hope for a rescue. Nicholas picked the lock on the cage in a matter of seconds, and he giggled thinking about how he'd never let anyone know where he had picked up that trick. The cage door squeaked open. and Nicholas stepped back waiting for the reindeer to do something. The little reindeer looked at Nick and then at the cage door almost in total disbelief. Then it suddenly leaped into Nick's arms and began nuzzling Nick's chin. Nicholas Claus had made a dear friend, and he hugged the little reindeer. Just then a huge scream of anger burst out from behind them, and Nicholas wheeled about to find the troll owner hovering over both of them. The troll moved instantly and grabbed Nick by the neck in one hand and the reindeer by the nose in the other. The troll held them both very tightly and laughed as they squirmed. Little did the troll know, however, that Nicholas had an ally in Walter, the angel, who just happened to be watching Nicholas at that moment. Walter had one more miracle feat left, and he decided to use it. He had to think quickly, so he didn't have a lot of time to debate what kind of miracle he needed. He had to act fast, so Walter flung massive heat into the little reindeer's cold nose. The reindeer's nose began to glow bright red, and the more it glowed, the hotter it got. The troll was forced to drop the reindeer so he could blow on his burnt hand. The little reindeer promptly scampered away from the troll, leaving Nicholas still in the troll's grasp. Nicholas had almost started to gasp thinking about the reindeer leaving him, but that wasn't what was happening at all.
