Destiny works in the life of the believer to produce strength and to accomplish the predetermined purposes of God. Each individual’s destiny has its own predetermined set of goals, skill requirements, and patterns in how the individual will eventually accomplish God’s desired end. If its financial power that you are to have, God knows how to get money to you. If you are an entrepreneur, God will not only help you with your business model, he will also help you with your mission statement, your product design, and your marketing strategy. Just look at what God did for Jacob and Noah. God knows best .He knows the best location for you, your family, and your business. God has already completed the logistic studies for us. How do we receive these things? We receive these things through revelation as we walk in the plans of God. God allows us to see into the spirit realm the things He is going to manifest on the earth. It is at this point when the blessings begin to flow.
When we make provision in our life to do things God’s way, God will give us power over obstacles and give us insights that allow us to achieve good results and to move forward. In Jacob’s life, Laban was a significant problem. However, God empowered Jacob through His word to have success despite Laban’s tactics. Look at Genesis 31:10-12, it gives an account of Jacob meditating in the field one day. God not only gives Jacob a strategy to defeat Laban and accomplish his predetermined goal in working for Laban, God also gives him the instructions in how to accomplish the strategy.
Genesis 31:10 -12 - In breeding season I once had a dream in which I looked up and saw that the male goats mating with the flock were streaked, speckled, or spotted. The angel of God said to me in the dream, Jacob. I answered, here I am. And he said, look up and see that all the male goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled or spotted, for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you.
This vision is a critical component in Jacob moving forward and fulfilling his destiny to become a man of real wealth. In the vision, God made known to Jacob the species of cattle that He was going to bless, the ones that would become significantly active in producing offspring because of His anointing on them. What was once inconceivable to Jacob now became visible. With this strategy, Jacob not only overcame the theft of his wages by Laban, he also moved to a higher level of responsibility in managing the blessings he received. The level of blessings Jacob began to receive from the hand of God necessitated him expanding his territory to accommodate the blessings. This is why it was important for Jacob to stay motivated and committed to God’s strategy during his stay in this hostile environment. If Jacob had faltered or lost his focus and commitment, look at the size of the opportunity he would have forfeited or delayed. However, because Jacob followed the instructions of God, his cattle increased exceedingly and he became the wealthy, influential man God needed him to become.
From the account of Jacob’s story, we see that in this predetermined place, Jacob was challenged, and in the challenge, he was made stronger than he was before. Jacob was flexible enough in his attitude to allow God to work through him and for him. Jacob maintained his focus and he achieved God’s predetermined goals for working with Laban.
Where God calls us to, He will supply the needs we have, and we will build the skill sets we need to handle the responsibility He gives us. You can have confidence in your ability to make quality decisions as you follow the instructions of God’s word.
Assignments chosen by God will have some level of difficulty within them. This is the way we are strengthened. Doing things we are not accustomed to enhances our capacities to handle greater levels of responsibilities. When assignments are chosen for us, inherent within the assignment is what we need to be prepared, blessed, and propelled forward in the timing and purposes of God. If you are currently in a challenging situation chosen by God, you are being developed and blessed. God will give you the information you need to overcome your obstacles and improve your situation. When the situation is over, you will have the brilliance that God wanted you to receive before the situation began. Your responsibility is to stay focused and do what you can, and God will do the rest!
