Jack gave up on trying to sleep so he called Lyn (her phone rang, she answered) “Hello?” “Hi Baby. Miss me?” “ Of course!” “Wanna see a movie tonight, or shall we do something else?” “ We could take a walk in the moonlight under the stars.” “Oh I like how you think. ( he smiled really big). I haven't eaten yet have you?” “No and I'm a bit hungry.” “ That settles it. I'll take you to dinner and then we can go for a walk afterward, what do you think?” “ I like the sound of that.” “ I'll pick you up in an hour. Is that enough time for you?” “Sure, I'll be waiting.” (she smiled sweetly). They both hung up. A few minutes passed and Lynetta's phone rang, she answered it “Hello?” A strangers voice said “ Hi. What are you doin' tonight?” Lynetta, (not recognizing the voice) said, “ who is this please?” The voice said “I'm a very devoted fan of yours who really wishes you'd dump Jack and go out with me.” She said, “I can't do that, goodbye” and she hung up. She got a tight feeling in her throat after the call. A couple of minutes passed and her phone rang again. She jumped with fear and random thoughts passed through her mind. (Should I answer it? Maybe it's Jack or Alyssa, it rang again and she didn't answer. She thought- “if it's Jack he'll wonder why I'm not answering.” The phone rang a third time. She answered guardedly, “Hello?” “There you are. I was beginning to worry. What took so long to pick up the phone?” She thought to herself, (whew it's Jack, what a relief). “Oh, I-I mislaid my phone. What did you want?”

This book contains several short stories about the simple, innocent romance between a boy and a girl that reflects a much simpler time. A time when just holding hands and giving that certain boy or girl a special look gave you huge butterflies in your stomach and that breathless feeling of excitement and wonderment of, “Does he like me? I mean REALLY like me?” or “Man I hope that look means she likes me, a lot!” These stories are about a young man not afraid to stand up for his lady and willing to risk his own safety to rescue her. I believe a “real” man is NOT afraid to cry and in my stories when someone’s heart is breaking he is not afraid to show his true feelings. About the Author
I am a wife and a mother of 3 children, a teen, a preteen and one still struggling to read better. I've worked in retail for many years and have been disappointed in most of the reading material available for teens and preteens. I decided I could help change that and give this new generation something sweet and innocent and exciting to read without all the x-rated scenes and filthy language. We live in the foothills of Colorado and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains in the distance along with the blue skies and white billowy clouds in the warm months and the children love the snow in the winter. My wonderful husband of 14 years has been so supportive about my writing. We both put in so many hours at our jobs I thought if I can do this and be a success I'll have more money for the kids college funds and more time with my husband.
